My baby had a birthday...

I can't believe he's 2 already! I really feel like he's still so new. He is so still my baby. He uses a pacifier, carries around his blue blankie all day long, sleeps with his stuffed monkey and loves to be cuddled! He's growing into his personality though...sometimes he even realizes he's a different person than Abby! Here he is...my 2 year old.

Thank you for giving me my first (and hopefully not last!) finalist in the betterphoto.com contest! Even though this photo didn't place (there were 38,000 entries in the contest this month!) I feel like a winner anyway!!! I really really do!!!

And baby makes four....

I just recently had a session a newborn and his family! He was only 2 weeks old. He never slept, but he was such a sweet baby the entire time. His brother is just the cutest little man. My bean bag chair became his "dump truck"...that's how I won him over! (or did I?) This family are long time friends of mine and I am so happy to be a part of such an important time in their lives!

Oh! How FUN! I've been Tagged by the very inspiring Stephanie!
She doesn't know this...but when I was just starting out in photography I stalked her blog :) She (along with a few others!) were my first inspiration to start taking photos.

So now I have to list 8 things about myself. I think they're supposed to be interesting? Hmmm.....

1. I'm addicted to chapstick. I have to have it, right before bed, middle of the night, during the day, it's a disease I think! :)

2. I don't like furry animals. I'm sorry...but I don't. I don't like petting them and then feeling like the whole world of filth is on my hands. I prefer fish, turtles, etc.

3. I'm a bit of a germophobe (is that how you spell it?) I only buy cleaning supplies that are antibacterial (which I use the bulk of our grocery budget for!) I carry around hand sanitizer, wipes, etc. I may not have the most clutter free house, but it is GERM free!!

4. I hate getting up very early in the mornings, I wish I could sleep in every day! But I love how it makes me feel after a good long day. I get so much more accomplished, although I'm dead tired!

5. In my spare time I read. I LOVE to read. Anything I can get my hands on. Right now it's Christian fiction. I love how authors spin romance with a godly base. It really feeds my soul!

6. I have SAD (seasonal affective disorder). We buy natural light bulbs for the house, keep the windows open as much as we can. I don't put drapes on the windows. Winter time is hard for me. I don't go into a deep depression, but my mood is definitely affected by the sun. That's why I love summer, even in all the heat.

7. I drink chocolate milk for breakfast every morning. I thought I would grow out of it when I hit being an adult...but nope! I love it. But it has to be powdered Quik...not the syrup!

8. I'm just about 5 months pregnant :) It's a girl and we're beyond excited!

Her big day....

It was Abby's first day of preschool today...sniff sniff... She did fine! I think mommy had a harder time with it than she did! It's just that she's only been in MY care for the past 4 years. No daycare, no nothing like that, and now I've given her over to strangers (who oddly after meeting them only a few times, I trust greatly!) to take care of her.

She was so excited. This day could not come soon enough for her. I just pray her little heart is protected and that she continues to grow into a fine young lady.

to the Bride & Groom.....

This lovely couple got married last month. I've been holding their photos ransom since this was my first wedding and oh, I want them to be perfect for them! So I guess I've made them wait long enough for a sneak peek of their photos, so here's a TON for you! Thank you both for allowing me to be a part of your special day! It was a joy to be able to capture it for you!
